Description
Examining social justice or reviewing an injustice in your classroom? Perhaps you're reading a social justice novel such as The Hate U Give, Dear Martin, or All American Boys? Maybe you just need your students to understand the key players in a historically unjust law?
This graphic organizer can be used for any instance of social injustice. It asks students to think about everyone affects by an injustice: the target, the allies, the bystanders, and the perpetrators.
You can use this in-person or virtually! Included are printable and digital versions of the social injustice graphic organizer.
Breaking down an instance of injustice allows an entry point for conversation and understanding before diving deeper into your unit. Use this with social justice literature or even with a social studies or history lesson. This activity can be done independently, in partners or groups, or as a whole class.
