This writing workshop activity is designed to help students analyze analytical writing itself so that they can better emulate that style. Students will need to read the essay "Ground Zero" by Suzanne Berne prior to this activity. In addition, it is beneficial to have students do a short analytical writing assignment themselves prior to the workshop so that they have a point of comparison with their own work.
