PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson break up sections of the Declaration of Independence and allows students to analyze the sections with a range of questions. It does not include every piece of the declaration, instead I took portions to help students understand the purpose of the document, the influence of Enlightenment Thinkers, some of the complaints against King George, the colonies attempts at compromise and lastly the declaration of the colonies independence.

A great way to get students to look at one of our nation's most influential documents without having them "shut down" because they do not understand the wording of the original document.

This took me about 3 days in class, doing some with the students and then having them do some on their own.
