Product Description
This Analyze Linear Functions: MATH "WAR" CARD GAME is a fun way to review the characteristics of linear equations by analyzing tables, graphs, equations, and verbal descriptions. The game is modeled after the card game "WAR" and the directions are included. Essentially, each student will play a card and the card with the highest value wins the round. Students will have to compare each other's cards and analyze the characteristics of linear functions in different formats. Some examples of the cards are: the x-intercept of a table, the y-intercept of an equation, and the rate of change of a verbal description.

With 72 unique cards, students can play in groups of 2, 3, or 4. If time permits, shuffle the cards and play again!

Skills Used:
Interpret function notation and identify x-intercept, y-intercept, and slope, given a table, graph, equation, or verbal description of quadratic equations.

Common Core Standards:
CCSS.HSF.IF.C.9
Compare properties of two functions each represented in a different way (algebraically, graphically, numerically in tables, or by verbal descriptions). For example, given a graph of one function and an algebraic expression for another, say which has the larger y-intercept.
