This Common Core reading literature lesson asks students to analyze how cultural experience is reflected in a work of literature from outside of the United States. In this lesson, students will identify elements of setting, plot, and character in a text, then analyze how these elements bring out cultural experience. In addition to the initial lesson, there are numerous pages of Independent Practice and Review with questions modeled after Common Core assessment items.
