This activity can be used in a variety of ways.
I typically use this activity as a carousal activity with my fifth graders. They would travel to 4 different stations while completing this worksheet. At each station, students work together to infer, predict, and share out what they know about each animal and how their physical and instinctual adaptations support their survival.
This activity works very well if the students are provided with a few images or articles about each animal at each station.
