Students will work in groups to analyze graphs, sketch graphs based on descriptions, and create scenarios and model them with appropriate graphs.

-Establish groups of 2-5 students. Designate half of the groups as “A” and half as “B.”
-Students work together to practice analyzing a graph. Pause and discuss the difference between distance and speed graphs.
-Students then move on to sketching a graph. Pause and discuss the difference between distance from home and total distance.
-Next students work together to create their own scenario and corresponding graph on separate pages.
-Finally, groups swap scenarios, sketch an appropriate graph, and then return their work to the original group to be compared to the answer key.
