Analyzing Informational Text Using Manila Folders AND Annotation Stations are designed to help students understand the deeper meaning behind scholarly sources.
With the new Common Core Standards being introduced, there is a strong emphasis on incorporating informational text in the ELA classroom. This product allows you to meet ALL of the RIT standards for grades 9-12! You can use ANY informational text you would like!
Students will cut and paste a variety of questions and prompts into a manila folder, analyze the text of your choice using Bloom's Taxonomy, and engage in higher-level thinking with this product! Students will also participate in a whole-class activity in which groups will annotate the text and answer questions that another group designs.
** This product is similar to an interactive portfolio, so manila folders will be needed!
