Movies are text too!
Students can close read films and understand
The Movie Shot Chart and Terms Key helps students identify 8 different areas of film techniques and terminology including, proxemics, angles, camera, movement, editing transitions, sound, focus, lighting, and more. Each term includes an example and a code (which can be placed in the proper place on the graphic organizer) so the student can see all the choices a director makes in order to tell the story. These choices lead to meaning and effect, which lead us to tone and theme.
The Deluxe Movie Shot Chart and Term Key is part of a whole Language of Film unit that I will be posting soon.
