This multi-purpose document helps students reflect on the organizational pattern and the text-structure of their non-fiction book(s), among other skills. You will find more than one use for it, just as I do!
Students will read ANY non-fiction text/narrative of your/their choice of any reading length and reading level. Then, they will respond to sentence starters regarding POV, main idea/theme, details (quotes), and author's purpose using text evidence.

-for use during/after reading
-use as a book report or a reference page during a booktalk or presentation
-use as an end of book activity or assessment
-use to supplement non-fiction articles/narratives from teacher-purchased books or on-line resources
-use as a document for independent reading centers/stations SSR/DEAR
