Product Description
In this activity, students learn to determine the difference between essential and non-essential information in nonfiction text. Though I use Time for Kids as the resource, any non-fiction text can be used. Other skills practiced are compare/contrast, cause effect, attention to details, higher-level thinking practice, note-taking, and delineation of important material when researching a topic.
