Students use the scientific method and cycle of inquiry to investigate different and/or unique proportions that may exists in the human body. Students may choose to investigate a proportion suggested by Vitruvius (a first century Roman architect and then famously drawn by Leonardo da Vinci) or suggest and explore their own unique investigation into human proportions such as size of feet compared to forearm, body height compared to wingspan, size of hands compared to size of feet, the height of someone's ear compared to the length of someone's nose, wrist circumference compared to neck circumference...the list is endless. A sample of student work is included.
