A student-centered activity that inductively teaches students cooking commands and measurement words in Spanish. Students are asked to analyze recipes that are intended for a Latino Audience. Students use an online blendspace to answer questions about 4 recipes. A breakfast, entree, salad, and dessert item is included for the students.
Note: It is recommended that students are somewhat familiar with informal commands. I would suggest that the instructor shows students that most informal commands end with an A or an E. Feel free to preview some of the cooking commands with your students before doing this activity with them.
