Rules: Mix up cards. One student can pick up a card, then must direct his/her partner to say the name of the body part using only approved anatomical orientation terms. For consistency, have all students start at the belly button, then verbally orient their partner using their orientation terms. Set a time limit and have students keep track of how many cards they can finish within the time.
Feel free to alter the cards to include course specific anatomy- hearts, brains, etc.
*You may wish to have create a Hall of Fame bulletin board where students can post their high scores.
-Provide students with a list of the anatomical orientations and what they mean
-Shorten time to increase challenge
-Have student convert the common name to the anatomical/scientific name to earn points (ex: Hallux instead of Big Toe)
