Hang this up in your classroom as a poster when learning about revolutions for students to make comparisons to their learning to! Present it as an introduction to a specific revolution! Give it to students as a reading! Use it to support discussion or debate in your classroom!
This handout examines the conditions that need to be present to cause a revolution, the course revolutions seem to take, and then poses questions for students to answer after learning about the revolution. The first two pages are ideal for learning about the idea of revolution, before getting into the events of a particular revolution, and the final page is useful as a reflective tool after learning about the revolution. This handout was designed with the French Revolution in mind, but could be used with other revolutions throughout history.
