Literature Circles can be a beating; I get it. I wanted to do something new and fun for the learners instead of the same old thing. With these strategies from the book Notice and Note by Kylene Beers and Robert E. Probst, I have made bookmarks and anchor charts that you could keep up throughout the literature circle process.
Now, you would have to pre-teach each of the strands of N&N with mentor texts (mini-lessons for 20-30 minutes each) before the learners will understand how to use the strands correctly. A great way to do this could be with a read aloud book! Try Wonder or Freak the Mighty.
*The first page of the PowerPoint is bookmarks. So you would print and laminate them for your learners so that they can be reminded of the strands as they read. Annotating them within their novel would be an awesome way to use the bookmarks.
I'll add more material later.
