Students often use the same “tired words” in their explanations and written assignments.
As a way to help students understand synonyms, shades of meaning, and vocabulary, you can use these mini anchor charts. Simply print and laminate before posting in an easily accessible place in your classroom. Mini versions are also included for personal dictionaries and writing folders.
Allow students to add new words using a white board marker (once laminated) as they come across them in text (read aloud, independent reading, etc.). You can also hole punch one corner and put the cards on a ring to be used in your writing center.
Product includes 12 full page word anchor charts, student recording sheet (for a writing folder), samples, directions.
