Are your students studying Ancient China? If so, you're going to want to expose them to learning about a very influential and respected woman named Fu Hao. Married to the Shang ruler Wu Ding, Lady Fu Hao was a powerful and well-liked leader in China who assumed many roles which were traditionally male-dominated.
This activity contains text from a PDF available on the British Museum website about Ancient China. Students will read about Fu Hao and her legacy, then answer some short document based questions (DBQ).
