This is a 32 slide, highly animated, power point presentation on Ancient Civilizations - Everyday Life in Ancient Greece. Each of the slides are editable so you can change it to fit your individual needs.
Centered within a loose collection of city-states (often at war with one another), ancient Greek culture reached its pinnacle during the 4th century BC - an era described as its "Golden Age." Greek influence stretched along the northern rim of the Mediterranean from the shores of Asia Minor to the Italian peninsula. Art, theater, music, poetry, philosophy, and political experiments such as democracy flourished.
Ancient Greek society fell over 2000 years ago but despite this, its mythology still continues to influence our western society, as does architecture. References to Greek mythology can be found all through time and in our western culture. The influence of Greek mythology can be found in our science, arts and literature and our language. The Roman Empire, adapted its mythologies which still influence us today as they have through history.
Ancient Greece was so advanced that it has left a legacy on different world cultures, including the United States of America. It was the Greeks who first introduced the concept of democracy, a governmental system proven to be the best form of government known to man.
