Teaching Ancient Egypt is fun, especially in the younger grades. The entire region seems mysterious and has a unique history that younger students find enthralling. Go ahead and teach a unit on Ancient Egypt with this workbook complete with integrated short reads.

This is a Print and Go resource!

Students will learn about the greatest symbols in Ancient Egypt and have an opportunity for independent reading (best for grades 3 & up) or guided reading with the teacher (best for grades 1 - 2). Each symbol includes a short-read history that gives students the most important information they need to know now.

The final section of the workbook has hieroglyphics that can be cut out and pasted to create a personalized cartouche. Each student can take it home to share with their loved ones and hopefully share the history they learned about one of the ancient world's most unique civilizations.
