In this highly engaging Daily Life in Ancient Egypt activity, students navigate through 5 different categories to understand what daily life was like in Ancient Egypt. Students will understand what the ancient Egyptians experienced daily in terms of their clothing, games and hobbies, their education and school system, government structure (pharaoh), and the variety of work and professions in Egypt!
Each category is written from an engaging informal first-person perspective that captivates student attention!
Students can navigate from station-to-station, can work in partners, or can complete a couple in class or as homework! Then in their "guide packet," students will take down essential notes and complete a short activity to 'recap' each category. Then, students sketch a scene that shows what life was like in this section and create a "caption" to go along with the picture.
Once finished and students have learned about daily life in ancient Egypt, students complete a brochure where they take on the of a time-traveler. They complete a travel brochure where they highlight what they saw during their stay in Ancient Egypt!
This resource includes a paper in-class version and a 1:1 Google compatible version to be used in conjunction with Google Classroom. Just follow the included instructions for how to access the Google version, then share the resource through Google or assign via Google Classroom. This will allow students to type directly into the document!
