Description

This is an excellent primary source resource while covering Ancient Egypt! It includes a brief introduction about the war between Egypt and the Hittites and the eventual treaty that they signed.

Next is an excerpt from the Treaty of Kadesh which is considered to be the oldest surviving treaty between two civilizations. After reading the introduction and treaty, students answer a set of critical thinking questions to gauge their understanding.

An editable Google Doc version is included along with an answer key for your convenience.
