The exciting mysteries of ancient Egypt are a perfect excuse for getting students to delve into history and do some research. Students create their own museum exhibit with guidance from you. This can be a group project if you have a large class or individual project if the class is small.
The project is divided into six categories: mummies, gods and goddesses, daily life, hieroglyphics, pharaohs, and the pyramids. Each category consists or several parts: definitions relating to the category and their relevance, pictures, higher level questions, artifacts, and creating the display.
I have included various activities to go with each category as well as a list of resources.
Have fun with it and expect to learn something from your students!
