Description

Ancient Egypt's Kingdoms Reading & Worksheet

This is an excellent, easy to understand history of ancient Egypt's 3 major periods: the Old Kingdom, Middle Kingdom, and New Kingdom. A short paragraph explains the key characteristics of each one, including the pyramids, pharaohs, and why each came to an end.

After completing the reading, students analyze a list of characteristics and place each under the Egyptian kingdom that it best describes. The included Google Docs version has students drag and drop characteristics into the correct column based on the reading.

This is an excellent way to introduce the three kingdoms of Ancient Egypt or provide a review of the overall history of Egypt. An answer key is included for your convenience!

This download includes both printable and Google Docs versions of the activity! If you're in a paperless classroom or just want to integrate more digital resources, you can use the provided link to bring this resource into Google Classroom!
