This is a lesson that combines learning about Greek mythology with some basic math skills. The ancient Greeks had myths, heroes, and legends, and some of them involved exact and precise numbers. For example the 12 Labors of Hercules or the 50 Argonauts of Jason. The task for students is to research alone or with a group and find the numbers associated with each myth, legend, or hero. They then solve a set of math problems using the numbers. There are fifteen legends to find a number for followed by fifteen math problems of increasing difficulty. Answers provided.
