Product Description
This rap is a parody of the Notorious BIG song, Juicy. Here is a sample (I recommend you have an idea of how the original song goes):

"It was once all Crete
I used to read Homer’s Odyssey
Sailing boats off the Aegean Sea
Carving pictures on the wall
Every Persian Attack, and Phalanx won’t fall
Pericles let his vote rock 'til his the stones drops
Black and white rocks, helots in fields about to get crops
Way back, when they traded this and that
Watch a discus match
Remember Chief God Zeus, he’s the top god
You never thought the Persians would hike it this long
Now Xerxes’ in the sunlight cause Spartans wanna fight
Athenians get paid, wives can’t work, just play maid
Achilles' a winner, he’s big not thinner
Remember when he ate the Trojans for dinner "

The rap gives a good general history of both Rome and Greece. Plenty of vocabulary is used. You will rap about Rome and talk about the Tiber River, Romulus and Remus, and even the Punic Wars. The Greece section is all about the gods and democracy. I suggest giving the kids a handout of the lyrics and highlighting anything you think is important.
