I use the following Webquest as an introduction to Greek theater before beginning a unit on Antigone. The webquest could be used in an English Language Arts, Social Studies, or Theater classroom. Depending on the level of students, it could take 45 to 90 minutes to complete.
The Webquest directs students to 6 different sites (with 32 questions total) to explore the following areas of ancient Greek theater:
- connection to religion
-types of plays
-people and structures (interactive clickable site)
- overall layout
This is an excellent opportunity for students to read informational texts, and it is a refreshing alternative to the classroom lecture.
Also, in the zip file, I have included:
- A Link List to post online so students don't have to type in every single link
- An Answer Key to save you some time too!
As of May 2018, every link is working. Should you encounter a problem, please contact me immediately (through "Ask a Question"), and I will update the Webquest ASAP with a working link and questions that cover the same information! IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH WEBSITE 4, YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR ADOBE FLASH PLAYER.
Please feel free to provide me with feedback (it helps you earn credits towards future TPT purchases), "follow me" for updates and freebies, and go to "Ask a Question" if there's anything else I can do to make you happy.
Related to this Webquest is this one on Greek Life that also works well with Antigone
