Ancient History Pre-Test & Post-Test Boom Cards™ (Distance Learning)

If you teach Ancient History, use this Boom Learning℠ resource to save yourself some preparation time at the beginning of the year to find out what your students already know about Prehistory and the civilizations of Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient India, and Ancient China. You can use the same digital task cards again at the end of the year as a post-test to see how much your students have learned.

The first card in this deck of Boom Cards™provides detailed instructions for students. There are 11 multiple-choice questions on the test. Students read the text and they can also click on the audio symbol to hear the directions on the first card and the multiple choice questions on the other cards read aloud.

Also included in this resource are 7 cards with a drag and drop matching task, which asks students to match pictures representing each time period with the name of the correct time period. You can use this as a challenge for early finishers or with all students as another formative assessment at the beginning or end of the year.

This resource is aimed at English Language Learners with an intermediate level of language proficiency or higher and can be used by other students as well. ELLs with a lower level of language proficiency may be able to do the test questions and matching task on their own if they can comprehend the audio instructions or if someone reads the questions and answers to them.
