Students work as teams to make leadership decisions as either Sumerian, Assyrian, or Babylonian rulers. Students must learn how to cultivate/irrigate along the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and then build cities to expand their empires. Each civilization will need to utilize its advantages (Sumerians with invention/discovery, Assyrians with warfare, and Babylonians with building) in order to defeat each other. Soon each civilization will need to compete for farmland and fight each other.
Events in the Game
-Move units to defeat the other teams
-Use advantage cards unique to each civilization and historically accurate
-Cope with how the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers historically behaved
