The suit case project is designed for a student or pair of students to create a presentation using a suitcase full of items that describe, help teach, tell a story, or were a part of the content or idea your students are studying. For the attached project rubric, my students were learning about Ancient Rome. They were to fill their 'suitcase' with souvenirs (items they create, have already or bought) that would teach the rest of the class about ancient Rome. Each souvenir would be presented to the class and each group or student would have to explain each item and its connection to ancient Rome. I allowed students to bring in a type of food or a representation of an item, etc.
