This assignment is based on principles of differentiated instruction. In this lesson, students select three assignments from the "Think-Tac-Toe" board. These assignments include a unit test, diary, fashion magazine, mosaic, short story, persuasive essay, brochure, timeline, or collage. By allowing choice and assignments that utilize various presentations of knowledge, all students can use their own strengths and preferred learning modalities. This project can easily be modified for students with disabilities by assigning only two projects, or suggesting projects that emphasize their strengths.
