Fun active learning task. The word search has 34 words for students to find. Each word is a key term in the study of Ancient Rome. This is a quiz which could be used when teaching a history module, or as an introduction to Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. The vocabulary covers society, customs, architecture, clothing, and government.
In addition to finding words in the grid, students are asked to write sentences using the words. This helps reinforce their knowledge of these key words, and how to spell them.
This is the type of activity that could be used as a homework assignment or as class work on an occasion when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
The solution is included.
