This file contains a 3 day lesson, webquest, worksheet, ruberic, and student survey.
In order to explore some of the Modern Wonders of the World, we used the World Wide Web. We found that the most well known and popular where three of the more Modern World Wonders built by man. Using these more popular wonders, we wrapped our Web Quest around the Statue of Liberty, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Eiffel Tower.
First, we provided a base website, so that the students can explore other Wonders, from Ancient to Modern. Then we provided an additional three websites that focus in on each of the three chosen Modern World Wonders.
The general objectives that we gave the students were to complete the worksheet that accompanies the Web Quest, and create a poster board that showcases their favorite Wonder and why.
The point of the Web Quest is to engage students in learning about the wonders of the world, ancient and modern, and to help them work on their technology skills. The students will enjoy learning about the wonders of the world while using computers to guide their learning process!
