“The Jackson Toast” is a new Recording from Professor Presley recently completed at Earthling Studios in San Diego, Ca. We have taken an old campaign song from the Jackson Campaign of 1828 and turned it into a modern rock n roll song that will have your students tapping their feet and bobbing their heads as they listen and learn about the battle between Andrew Jackson (aka Old Hickory) and John Quincy Adams. This election ushered in the era of Jacksonian Democracy and the Second Party System in the United States. This song comes in a studio quality MP3 format and will soon be available on ITunes just like the rest of the Professor Presley library of songs used to enhance the U.S. History Curriculum. Use this song along with my lesson “Classroom American Idol – The Jackson Toast” and your students will be motivated, engaged, and having a good time while learning about this great nation’s history.
