Your students will enjoy this integrated reading and art activity in the spirit of Andy Goldsworthy, an innovative artist who “collaborates with nature” to create his work. Students will learn a great deal about this artist by reading passages about him. Sentences have missing oi/oy combinations, and children need to determine which vowel combination should be added by using an alphabetical resource. Detailed lesson plan, word list resource, and art experience included. Great for work in vowel teams, alphabetical order, dictionary practice, and main idea reading comprehension.

This activity is part of an Andy Goldsworthy Study, which is a portion of our complete Artist Biography Unit.
