Learning about self control and anger management is a extremely important life skill! The lessons in this bundle can be used individually, in a small group, or as a classroom guidance lesson. This bundle features 3 lessons, that will introduce the concept of anger management, and get your students talking about what makes them angry!
Lesson 1: Pom Pom Game
An introductory lesson for a group counseling session. A great conversation starter to introduce the topic of anger management. Each student selects a pom pom from a bag, or an M&M, matches it to a color on the board, and then answers the corresponding question.
I use this as group guidance lesson, but this can be done individually as well!
A worksheet to help children recognize the physical signs of anger, and describe in words, pictures, or colors, how anger "feels" for them. Once a student can recognize feelings of anger within their own bodies, they can begin to learn to control it!
A worksheet to help children identify anger "triggers" that might lead to them becoming upset or angry at school, or at home. It also helps children to classify their "triggers" and recognize when something is a "big problem" versus "no big deal".
A fun lesson on recognizing common emotions and using self-regulation featuring LEGO Characters!
