These calming strategy cards were created to help children manage their own anger. Simply look through the cards with your child, asking them to choose the strategies they’d like to try. Hole punch the corners and put them together on a ring, or put the cards up on a board where your child can see them easily.

Add more cards or take them away as your child decides what works best for them. Different situations and different levels of anger may call for different strategies, so developing a range of helpful ideas will give your child more tools in their emotional toolbox.

There are 185 color cards and 185 black and white cards suitable for both US and UK English.

Any blank cards are editable. Simply place your cursor where the word would be on the card and type your own strategy. Then draw a representative picture.
