After a long search, I finally decided to make notes on the Angle Addition Postulate and Angle Bisector Theorem. It starts with identifying the Angle Addition Postulate and solving basic numeric problems. It then goes into more algebraic problems. From there, it has the students using the Angle Bisector Theorem. Students will then solve problems where the two parts are equal as well as where one of the parts is given and the whole angle is given.
I use the Part + Part = Whole to help students identify how to set up both Segment and Angle Addition problems. I have them identify what pieces of information are given, if it is considered part of the angle or the whole angle and set up the equation accordingly.
