In this fun introductory activity to angles, students create a right, acute, and obtuse angle using toothpicks. Students then need to identify three examples of each type of angle using objects in the classroom. For example, an open book may be an obtuse angle and the corner of the white board may be an example of a right angle. This is an excellent activity for use with partners or small groups. I use this activity in conjunction with my Geometry Introduction Mini-Lesson PowerPoint which can also be found in my TeachersPayTeachers store. Enjoy!
