PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This task is as much about math as it is about general problem solving. What I wanted students to do was to see that one restaurant was located at a corner that was a smaller angles and reason that it might be unfair because one might have been given more space. The desired solution would be to move the restaurants to congruent locations. I gave my students a list of vocabulary terms that I was looking for (congruent, supplementary, grater than, less than, etc). Many students wanted to say the difference was that one was further out of town. I tried to direct those to think more about the mathematics behind it and think about the angles.
I also included the rubric I used. I also put a checklist for the students to initial before they turned it in. My hopes where that it would encourage students to think twice about their work :)
