When learning about line angle relationships, students need lots of practice not only learning the vocabulary, but applying what they have learned to find missing angles of parallel lines with transversals. This bundle includes 5 products (all available individually) that focus on angle geometry (vertical angles, corresponding angles, alternate interior angles and alternate exterior angles)
Angle Relationships Task Cards
This product contains 40 task cards (both with and without QR codes) that allow students to practice using vertical angles, corresponding angles, alternate interior angles, and alternate exterior angles. 16 cards are specifically asking students to identify the angle relationship, 16 cards have students applying relationships to find the missing angle (no math required), 8 cards have students applying relationships to find the angle (they will need to find the supplement of the angle).
These cards will be great for:
Large group practice
Small group intervention
*The card contains 40 cards with QR codes, and the identical 40 cards without QR codes
Angle Relationships Scavenger Hunt
This activity is designed to help students practice finding the missing angle using angle relationships (supplementary, vertical angles, alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, corresponding angles). 15 different problems ask students to use these relationships to find the missing angle. Each angle corresponds with a letter that answers the riddle "Why did the girl wear glasses during math class?".
Types of Angles Snip and Sort
Contains 20 snip and sort cards with four different types of angles (vertical, adjacent, complementary, and supplementary). Students sort the cards into the appropriate columns and glue them down. Activity could also be laminated for repeated use in a math station.
Missing Angle QR Code Task Cards
Contains 16 QR code task cards that have students using geometry vocabulary terms (vertical angles, complementary angles, supplementary angles) to find the missing angle.
*4 problems with vertical angles
*6 problems with complementary angles
*6 problems with supplementary angles
Once students solve for the missing angle, they can scan the QR code to check the answer. The product also includes a recording sheet that has students identify the type of angle relationship (complementary, supplementary, vertical) before solving the problem.
Note: You must have a QR code scanning device (iPod touch, iPad, smartphone) to scan the QR codes.
Missing Angle Scavenger Hunt
This scavenger hunt has students applying their knowledge of types of angles (complementary, supplementary, and vertical) to find the missing angle in a figure. Students can begin at any problem and find the missing angle (recording sheet included). Then, find the problem with the answer to that problem, and solve it. When they reach the first problem they solved, they are done.
This includes 8 different problems (the solution to the problem is on a different problem card).
