This is a great activity to get groups talking about and practicing how to set up and solve equations to find a missing value, using pairs of complementary, supplementary, vertical, or adjacent angles.
Six stations are included, each with six task cards.
Station #1: Vocabulary Review: Students discuss questions based on the four types of angles.
Station #2: Find a missing value when given two complementary angles.
Station #3: Find a missing value when given two supplementary angles.
Station #4: Find a missing value when given two vertical angles.
Station #5: Find a missing value when given two adjacent angles.
Station #6: Use what is known about the four types of angles to find missing angle measurements.
NOTE: The equations in this lesson are all 1-step or 2-step equations (with the exception of adding constants). They do NOT involve variables on both sides of the equation.
