PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This product contains 32 task cards to help students practice finding the measure of an angle based on a fraction. For example, if the fraction 3/8 is shaded in, students should determine the value, in degrees, of 1/8 (45º) and then multiply it by 3 to find the value of the shaded area (135º). Part B, on the same task card, asks students to find the value of the unshaded area to help reinforce the concept that a circle has 360º.

An answer sheet for students and a key are both included.

Cards can be printed in color or black line masters. Laminate them for durability.

Skills Practiced
-Determining the measure of a fractional angle

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.MD.C.5.A
An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a "one-degree angle," and can be used to measure angles.
