Need a little something to pump some fun into your unit on animal adaptations and habitats? This activity should do just the trick! Your students are sure to enjoy this Roll an Animal Stations Activity! They may even forget that they’re actually learning and reflecting upon what they know about animals and how they survive in their habitats :)
In this activity, students will visit 10 stations to create a new animal. The roll of a die at each station will determine each student’s new animal’s adaptations (behavioral and physical) and habitat.
After visiting each station, students will be tasked with illustrating their new animal, complete with labels to identify the adaptations and habitat rolled during the station visits. Additionally, students will be challenged to compare their new animal with other real animals and their adaptations via a Reflections Activity at the end of the lesson.
This pack includes:
• Teacher Information
• Student Directions
• Station Graphic Organizer
• New Animal Reflection Questions
• New Animal Illustration Page
• 10 Station Cards
All you need to add are the dice! :)
Hope you’ll enjoy! :)
