Concealing Coloration, Disruptive Coloration, Disguise, & Mimicry
Are you teaching your students the four types of camouflage? It is so hard to find good examples of animal camouflage. This resource provides your students with a short informational text so that they understand what each type of camouflage means. There are 24 animal examples for of camouflage. (Mimicry has three animals and the animals that they mimic.)
Once you cut out and laminate the animal pictures, students can sort the images according to its type of camouflage with a partner, or independently. My students really understood the vocabulary because there were many images and they had more time to explore and think than if they were watching an animal video.
