This is a very fun and unique way to teach Animal Adataptions with students! Students will read a short paragraph on animal adapations and then write about how their own fingers help them survive every day. Then students will try an experiment of their own using their fingers and socks! Students work in pairs and see how many popcorn kernels they can pick up without using their thumbs! The students get very into it and engaged throughout the whole lesson! This lesson helps them realize how important adapations are to a living thing!
