Animal Adaptations Magic School Bus "In the City" Video Response Worksheet
This kid-friendly video response worksheet about how city animals use adaptations to survive can be used to assess students' knowledge taught in the Magic School Bus "In the City" episode. A summary of the episode states:
“Ms. Frizzle's class is visiting the zoo, which is, according to Tim, the only place in the city where a wild animal can survive. To test this idea — ZAP! — Ms. Frizzle turns them all into possums, foxes, and falcons! The bus, with Liz inside, becomes a bear, and, unfortunately, wanders off looking for food. Will the kid-animals be able to find the bus-bear before the zookeeper does? And is Tim right? How could animals like themselves survive in the city?”
This worksheet can be introduced before or after students watch the episode about city animals. It also can be used in small groups to enhance discussions about how animals adapt to changes in their environment.
This worksheet is one page in length. An answer key is included.
