Product Description
This FUNetic Farm Bingo game is a great way to help children learn the phonetic sounds of letters in a fun a fun and engaging way! This is a classroom size bingo set with 50 unique playing cards (25 with animal alphabet letters and 25 with letters only). There are also 26 calling cards and detailed instructions included.

Say the Sounds Bingo is played like a traditional bingo game, with a slight variation: The caller selects a drawing card and calls out the phonetic SOUND of the letter on the card (not the letter name and not the name of the animal). If a player has the letter on his card he echoes back the sound of the letter. This gives children practice hearing, saying and identifying the letters.

Playing bingo the FUNetic Farm way gives emergent readers lots of practice hearing and saying the sounds of letters and matching those sounds to the corresponding letter. You will be amazed at how quickly and easily children learn with the FUNetic Farm system.

This game is a component of FUNetic Farm's Phonics-based Early Literacy program; however it can also be used as a stand-alone activity. The game works well as a large classroom activity or it can be used with smaller groups in literacy centers.

General Instructions: Sheets should be printed on white card stock then cut into individual playing cards and calling cards. To protect against wear and tear, I recommend laminating the cards as well. Specific playing instructions are included with the game.

Common Core: This activity meets the common core standards for English Language Arts Skills; under Reading Foundational Skills for Kindergarten: Phonics and Word Recognition: CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RF.K.3a Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary sound or many of the most frequent sounds for each consonant.

This activity is a component of the FUNetic Farm Early Literacy program. FUNetic Farm is the Animal Alphabet children love to SOUND, SIGN, SING, SPELL and READ! This multi-sensory, phonics-based method uses cute animal visuals, music, American Sign Language finger spelling, lots of hands-on activities, and FUN to help emergent readers develop early literacy skills and find joy in learning to read.

FUNetic Farm supports teachers in teaching the Common Core State Standards.
