PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity would be a wonderful way to introduce vocabulary to address the names of baby animals (fawn, calf, joey, cub, joey, kit, chick, etc.) It would work well for both kindergarten and early first grade students, as the text is simple and repetitive.

It's designed for vocabulary, sentence order, and writing simple sentences with correct punctuation, capital letters, spaces between words.

With Common Core standards, it brings more informational text within your lessons about animals (science) or making a nonfiction connection to a fictional read aloud. It would work well with Brown Bear, Brown Bear or other animal stories.

Look for a write the room activity to come. Consider following me for more nonfiction content for Common Core integration. Thank you.
