A great way to get kids up and moving while reinforcing their understanding of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and fish!
I cut out these 20 animal classification cards, tape them around my room, and print the assignment page onto half sheets of paper that fit on a small clip board. Students then walk around the room, read the short description of the animal, and determine which class it belongs in.
These cards could also be used in an independent small center by adapting the instructions on the assignment page. I have kept this activity in Word document form so that you can edit the instructions or card information to fit your classroom's needs.
